Today I got a Christmas card from some friends in Ohio. She is a former housemate of mine and he is now a professor of history. We sat together at a wedding in Kingston about a year-and-a-half ago. Thank-you Dave and Ian for getting married and seating us at the same table together. It's been a pleasure for me to connect in a whole new way with Dr. K. and Nurse Nightingale since the wedding.
My friends in Ohio have three young children so I just assumed that the Christmas letter arrived late because life can be very demanding with a young family.
Not so.
Stamped on the envelope was a note from the U.S. Postal Service which read "accidently delievered to Phillipines."
On the other side of the envelope was a stamp from the Japanese Postal Service which read "Misdirected to China."
